  • Ourstory: Learn about African civilizations – explore the history of ancient African empires like Mali, Ghana and Egypt & Cultural Studies, African Philosophy and character development.

  • Math: African perspective on the equal sign – to Africans, the equal sign represented balance not equality. Teaching this concept from an early age will help children to better understand equations when they get to higher level math.

  • LA: Incorporate Black literature – read books by Black authors and about Black protagonists, exposing your children to diverse perspectives. Follow us on Instagram for literature suggestions. Reading comprehension.

  • Science: Medical procedures – learn about the many medical procedures that were performed in ancient Kemet before they were ever performed all over the world. STEM & more!

  • Parent Support & Resource Center based on Parent Power (Dr. Chike Akua) and Ancestral Studies to rebuild and strengthen Afrikan families.

Tuition for the 2024-25 academic year is $12,000 young people ages 12 and up, and $10,500 for young people ages 11 and below. Tuition is based on a 10-month academic year (pro-rated if enrolled after October 31st).

Fees include a one-time, non-refundable, $150 Onboarding Fee; an annual, non-refundable, $400 Education Resource Fee (pro-rated if enrolled after January 1st) per enrolled person; and a non-refundable, $200 Annual Enrollment Fee (pro-rated if enrolled after January 1st) per enrolled person.

Kuumba Village is a self-directed African-centered micro-school with a focus on healing and creativity. Thirty young people will have an opportunity to lead dynamic lives of interests
